Weymouth Relief Road Weldmar Walk

Weymouth Relief Road

Weymouth Relief Road

Would you like to take part in a once in a lifetime opportunity? Do you want to be among the first to travel the new Weymouth Relief Road? Why not join Weldmar Hospicecare Trust on Sunday 5th December to be part of a 6km walk on the north section.

This will be the only opportunity for the public to walk the road.

The walk will start at 11am from the new Ridgeway Bridge at Broadmayne Road.

In order to take in the wonderful newly opened up views, the walk will follow the bridleway to Icen Lane where there will be a turning point to walk back up to the bridge on the northern section of the new Weymouth Relief Road.

Registration will start from 9.30am at Ridgeway Bridge. This walk is open to all ages. Registration fees are:

Under 5: Free
5- 16 yrs: £5
Adults: £10

Which will include a commemorative medal for the over 5s. Children under 16yrs must be accompanied by a registered adult walker.

Why not get yourself sponsored to support Weldmar or, if you prefer, another charity of your choice (you must contact your chosen charity yourself for their sponsor forms)?

Get your walking shoes out of storage and come along to join in this unique opportunity.

Volunteers are also required to help with registration and parking control.

If you want to be part of this very special day, at the same time helping to raise funds for charity.

If you have any questions, or would like to volunteer to help on the day, please contact Sue Leighton on 01305 215320
