Weymouth Old Town Hall Open Day

Weymouth Old Town Hall

Weymouth Old Town Hall

A group of local people have worked with Weymouth and Portland Borough Council to secure a 30 year lease at a peppercorn rent so that the hall can be used by local people for local events. The Community Interest Company ‘Guardians of the Old Town Hall’ is set up to ensure that the hall is renovated and is used by the community for the community.

Already many people have given their time and money to support this project including Lee Morris who has made sure the electrics are safe, Trish Wilson from the Duke of Cornwall to make sure we have insurance and Neil Worthington who is drawing up architects drawings for planned improvements. JPD pipes donated pipe for our carnival fish and Arts Council provided money!

Come along and meet the people, see the hall, have a party and join in!!!!

Come and celebrate the rescue of Weymouth’s  Old Town Hall High Street North Quay opposite The Boot near the Council Offices Sunday 13 September 11 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

Music, refreshments, re-enactment and much much more!
