All family friendly and great fun, whatever the weather!

Our inaugural Walking Festival was held in February and despite the weather not being very kind, we had lots of visiting walking enthusiasts, photographers, birdwatchers and families who took advantage of the week-long event in order to enjoy our beautiful coastline and hinterland.

As I am sure you are aware, Lyme Regis is a very popular destination with walkers, especially since the South West coastal path was identified as ‘one of the finest walks in the world’ by Lonely Planet earlier this year, and the Festival is designed to encourage even more local people and visitors to get out and about in the local area and appreciate the wonders of nature around us – healthy, enjoyable and good for the soul!

While the detailed programme of events for the week is still a work in progress, the dates have been set (2 to 10 November) and everyone is keen to begin promoting the Festival as soon as possible. The full programme of events will be posted on the town’s official website (www.lymeregis.org) as soon as they are confirmed, but in the meantime, it would be fantastic if you could promote the festival on your website.
