JURASSIC COAST RUN

On Wednesday 18th May, the Dorset Section of the Vintage Motorcycle Club will be stopping at Gunn Cliff, Lyme Regis, for lunch, after a ride from Weymouth via Eggardon Hill, Whitchurch Canonicorum, and Uplyme. They will return via Charmouth and West Bay. This run is part of the Third Weymouth Week. The 160 riders will be camping at Bagwell Farm Campsite near Weymouth, and riding a variety of bikes up to 25 years old. Riders come from all over Britain, and include six from Europe.
Another ride passes through the Marshwood Vale on Monday 16th May, en route to Perry’s Cider Farm at Dowlish Wake. There are three other rides; to a motorcycle museum in Hampshire, to Shaftesbury, and to Swanage.
The Weymouth Week was started after two successful weekend camps; it commences with the Weymouth Run (first held in 1968), on Sunday 15th May at 11am, from Weymouth Pavilion. The Dorset Section, with some 45 members, meets in North Dorset.
The public are welcome to come and view bikes, and talk with riders.
