Weymouth Ladies Hockey Club win 10-0

A soggy return to the season saw Weymouth Ladies facing Beaminster who only allowed Weymouth to score one goal in their first match before Christmas. So Weymouth came out determined and strong. Jenny Stuart- Smith scored from a well worked penalty corner in the first five minutes. Then in quick succession Casey Squib scored another 3 boosting morale and upping the pace and quality of the game. Weymouth were releasing the ball early which created a lot of space allowing Emily BLoxham to score from down the right. Ellen Dewey had a tussle right on the goal line and managed to push the ball over the line for yet another goal. Further goals came from Wendy Butcher, 2 from Susie Stone and a final goal from Lynda Drewitt to reach double figures.

A fantastic start to the second half of the season.  Next week Weymouth take on Bournemouth 3^rd’s at home, 12.30. Wey Ladies 2s lost 2-0 away against Poole 1.
