Chancery House Bridport

On Sunday the 18th September 2011 we invited Chancery House Day Care Centre to Fairfield House Residential Care Home, to enjoy a live performance of World War 2 songs from Blitz and Peaces.

Bill Simpson a resident of Fairfield House helped raised over £60 for the local Age Concern day care centre, Bill researched the history of Fairfield house and decided to write a book about his findings. Bill’s book was then sold for £1 a copy, Bill chose to donate these proceeds to Age Concern. We also held a raffle during the day which managed to raise £75 and Eytan and Michelle Krips the owners of Fairfield also made a generous personal donation to Age Concern.

During the interval Bill presented  a cheque for £200 (not including the raffle money) to Barbara Vousden Chairman of the Trustees at Chancery House Day Centre, Bridport.

All residents and guests greatly enjoyed the nostalgia of the event and array of buffet food provided afterwards. It was a great opportunity for the Residents of Fairfield House and the Age Concern day visitors to meet new people and build new friendships. We look forward to hosting similar events in the future and helping local charities further.
